Campers' Comments

Comments are from the Evaluation Forms:

  1. Overall, it was an impressive weekend camp that met its goals, very organized and smooth especially for being the pioneer for following leadership camps. (team: Ba` Trie^.u)
  2. Ban to chuc demonstrated what good leadership is. You are good role models for us. You did a great job! Please keep up the good work. I hope that Camp Len Duong will continue year after year!
  3. This camp is very well organized and lots of efforts.
Food: Need more vegetables and soup in the menu
    Very quick registration process.
  4. Workshops should better reflect themes as well as purpose of the camp.
Registration needs a bit of improvements for better organization.
  5. We should continue this camp. It is very effective, most campers are very pleased with the program.
    Excellent camp site.
Regarding menu, I suggest less meat, mi goi was good, more vegetable, more orange, banana.
Registration is very good, well prepared.

  6. The best food I ever had in camping

  7. Should have more free time, less restrictions.

  8. I'd like to have more free time and more competition games.

  9. More free time.

  10. Excellent workshops and speakers.
Too much fat in food, very unhealthy

  11. Hope that we have more activities and less workshops

  12. It's a very good camp. Hope to see you guys in camp 1999.

  13. I personally hope that Len Duong camp would go on and explode nationwide. (Do Nha)

  14. The most successful and well prepared camp that I have ever been to. We should have this camp again soon.

  15. More free time and more competition games.

  16. I think if there were not so much workshops or at least spread them apart, they would be more interesting. Also, the Big Game should be one of the first things we do because it builds team spirit and closeness.

It was inspirational but I don't know if I have been actively motivated. Perhaps, the branches in Houston, Dallas.. would continue to work and contact througout the year and help each other to become active leaders in the communities ie. Join a group!

Overall, this program was very good, great sponsors and senior counsellors.

  17. I truly enjoyed myself. I only wish I was able to attend the sessions on Saturday.

  18. This was a meaningful event. I wish we can have this happens every year in a larger scale.
    Everything is comfortable.
I learned a lot from this camp and I am glad that I am here. Thanks for BTC's effort! (Minhdung Nguyen)

  19. I really liked the "carry-all" name pouch! (Team Nguyen Du)

  20. All of these workshops are very good and useful.

  21. Well organized, well cooperated.
    Food was pretty good
    Registration is well ordered.

  22. More interactive speakers to keep audience's interest alive.
Some of the food was salty and should not include 3 dishes that in all meat for any one meal.
Need more organized system to register incoming campers - got somewhat disordering.
Within team campers worked together very well and got to know each other but between teams, people knew fewer people from different teams. Should have effort to encourage interteam meeting. Staff dedication was superb! And friendliness and eagerness all around!

  23. Workshops were very informative, useful, got lots to take back from "Len Duong 98".
Facility is too clean and modern for camping! Excellent facility.
    Food is excellent.
    Registration is very efficient.
I really liked about the workshops and campfire. We should have this often. Keep up the good work! Great Job!!

  24. Entertainment could have targeted the audience better. The Big Game was wonderful.

  25. Need less workshops, more free time (shower, meet friends, relax, discover the place...)
Anh Nam and Hieu were really dedicated. Camp wouldn't be fun without them. (Team: Tran Binh Trong)

  26. Trai Len Duong 1998 was great!!!
We should have an activity where we can cook our own food! (breakfast?)
(Trinh Nguyen - Team: Ba Trieu)

  27. The camp was well organized! (Nguyen Tuong Vu - Team: Tran Hung Dao)

  28. Great staff members. Need to have more activity in big game and more time for games activity (sinh hoat). (Duong Dieu - Team: Nguyen Trai).

Well, I think Len Duong camp was very organized and fun learning experience to all the young adults who had a chance to attend that three-day camp. This camp was very different from other camps that I once participated. The speakers are outstanding, we all have a chance to practice what we have been learned from those speakers right away.

This is not a camp to learn about leadership, however, we all have a great time to learn about our heritage and vietnamese tradition in general. Anyway, I enjoy Len Duong camp very much. I do hope those lessons that I have learned in the camp would help me somehow in the future.
